NowCerts occupies a specific and well-defined position in the agency management system market: it is a cloud-native platform designed for small to mid-size independent agencies that want modern software, straightforward pricing, and reasonable personal lines and small commercial capability without paying enterprise-scale costs. QQCatalyst is a Vertafore product, which means it sits inside a larger vendor ecosystem with all the tradeoffs that implies: more integration options within the Vertafore family, less vendor independence, and a product roadmap influenced by the broader organization's priorities.
For agencies that anticipate growing into AMS360 eventually, QQCatalyst offers a migration path within the same vendor. That is a genuine consideration if long-term platform consolidation is part of your technology strategy.
For agencies that are not planning to grow into an enterprise system, the Vertafore ecosystem connection is less relevant. NowCerts' independence — it is not part of a larger platform family with conflicting roadmap priorities — can be an advantage for agencies that want a vendor focused specifically on their segment.

For pure life and health agencies, AgencyBloc is the better-designed platform. Its commission management is built specifically for life and health carrier structures, its enrollment tools handle group and individual benefit workflows that NowCerts does not, and its carrier integration list reflects the life and health market.
For mixed-book agencies with both P&C and life/health, the choice is harder. NowCerts handles P&C better; AgencyBloc handles life and health better. Is NowCerts good for commercial lines?
